Australia retail product sales go flat in July


SYDNEY (Reuters) – Australian retail product sales went flat in July after a number of months of upbeat outcomes boosted by discounting events, with spending on clothes and at outlets taking successful as prospects turned frugal.

Data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) on Wednesday confirmed retail product sales have been unchanged in July from June, as soon as they rose 0.5%. Analysts had appeared for a rise of 0.3%.

Sales have been up 2.3% on a 12 months earlier, a weak consequence given Australia’s inhabitants is surging by 2.6% yearly.
