BHIWANDI: Narayan Chaudhary, a rebel corporator from the Bharatiya Janata Event (BJP), was chosen Mayor of the Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation (BNMC) on Friday.
- Chaudhary protected triumph with assistance from the Congress-led Bhiwandi Secular Front (BSF).
- Congress candidate Tariq Momin was chosen Replacement Mayor.
- The BJP intends to challenge the election and seek disqualification for Chaudhary and five other corporators who cross-voted.
- Congress became the solitary largest party with 30 seats in the 90 -participant BNMC.
