(Reuters) – Intel and Amazon’s AWS said on Monday they will surely improve their cooperation, consisting of a co-investment in custom-made chip kinds, below a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar construction.
Intel’s shares have been up 9% in in depth buying and selling.
As element of the cooperation, the chipmaker will definitely generate an AI materials chip for AWS on Intel 18A, its most refined process node.
The enterprise moreover said it intends to develop Intel Foundry as an unbiased subsidiary of Intel.
