An individual is lifeless and two women are injured, one critically, after two autos collided in Markham on Monday night, York Regional Police say.
Police said the collision occurred on Highway 7, east of Reesor Road. Officers had been known as to the realm at about 7:45 p.m. One car was heading east whereas the alternative was heading west as soon as they collided, police added.
The man, in his 60s and the passenger of 1 car, was pronounced lifeless on the scene. The driver, a woman in her 60s, is in life-threatening scenario. She was taken to a neighborhood hospital, then airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.
The driver of the alternative car, a woman in her 40s, was transported to a Toronto trauma centre with extreme nevertheless non-life-threatening accidents.
“We’re going to look at every possibility as to why this happened,” Staff Sgt. Peter Cheung, spokesperson for York Regional Police, knowledgeable reporters near the scene.
Highway 7, east of Reesor Road, is closed in every directions as police investigated.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dashboard digicam video is urged to come back again forward to police.
