Delhi Considers New Bus Terminal on Reclaimed Land Fill
The Delhi government and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) are assessing the expediency of constructing a brand-new Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at the Bhalswa land fill site.
- Place: The proposed website is positioned at the joint of GT Karnal Roadway and Outer Ring Roadway near Mukarba Chowk.
- Improvement: MCD has reclaimed roughly 4 5 acres via biomining, with a target of complete recovery by December 2026
- Function: The new ISBT intends to relieve traffic jam and exhausts around the Kashmiri Gateway ISBT and on essential arterial roadways.
- Impact: The terminal would mainly offer buses from north states, potentially easing stress on Delhi’s road framework.
