Amazon India Announces Up To 12 Per Cent Reduction In Selling Fees Ahead Of Festive Season | Economy News


Mumbai: Amazon India on Saturday introduced an as much as 12 per cent discount in promoting charges throughout a number of product classes on {the marketplace} forward of the festive season. The reductions in charges, which is efficient from September 9, will allow sellers to broaden their product portfolio on the platform apart from offering a lift to progress, Amazon India stated.

“With the changes, sellers on Amazon India will benefit from a drop in selling fees, ranging from 3-12 per cent, across various product categories”, the corporate stated.

The new charge card will notably profit sellers providing merchandise priced under Rs 500, it stated. “At Amazon, we are invested in supporting businesses of all sizes, from small and medium businesses to emerging entrepreneurs to established brands. The fee reduction is directly in response to feedback from our sellers, especially small businesses,” Amit Nanda, Director Selling Partner Services at Amazon India, stated.

While the timing of the payment cuts aligns with the festive season, these adjustments usually are not non permanent measures, the corporate stated. The discount in payment will give sellers a chance to optimise their operations in time for the Diwali procuring rush in addition to past the festivities.

“Sellers, particularly those selling affordable products, will experience a significant decrease in fees on Amazon. This will provide them with an opportunity to reinvest in their business for accelerated growth,” Nanda added.
