Why Cognizant Sues Indian Tech Giant Infosys in US Court; Know the Reason Here | Technology News


Cognizant vs Infosys In US Court: US-based software program firm Cognizant TriZetto has filed a lawsuit in opposition to Indian tech big Infosys in a Texas federal courtroom, accusing Infosys of stealing confidential data associated to its healthcare insurance coverage software program.

This comes 8 months after Infosys despatched a missive to Cognizant accusing the US-based IT agency of unfair worker poaching. However, Infosys has denied all allegations levelled by Teaneck-based rival Cognizant’s subsidiary Cognizant TriZetto in Texas federal courtroom. 

Cognizant, headquartered in New Jersey and with 70% of its staff in India, claims that Infosys unlawfully extracted information from its databases and used this data to develop and market competing software program. 

Cognizant’s software program consists of TriZetto’s Facets and QNXT, utilized by healthcare insurance coverage firms to automate administrative duties. According to the criticism by Cognizant, Infosys misused TriZetto’s software program to create “Test Cases for Facets,” which improperly repackaged TriZetto’s information into an Infosys product. Notably, the businesses are locked in a closed fight even available in the market with each firms approaching $20 billion in income. 

Cognizant has requested the courtroom to award an unspecified quantity in financial damages and to problem an order directing Infosys to stop the misuse of its commerce secrets and techniques.
