Ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra establishing political elections 2024, Congress head of state Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday asserted that the BJP is the “biggest enemy” of Maharashtra’s farmers and insisted that the state has truly chosen that farmers will definitely revenue simply by eliminating the twin engine federal authorities from energy.
In a message in Hindi on X, Kharge knocked the BJP over farmer self-destructions in Maharashtra and said the pledge of constructing the state drought-free is a “jumla” (unsupported claims).
“BJP is the biggest enemy of Maharashtra`s farmers. 20,000 farmers committed suicide. Huge cut in funding in farming. Promise of Rs 20,000 crore water grid turned out to be false. Promise of making Maharashtra drought-free is a `Jumla`,” he said. Kharge moreover struck the BJP over its “refusal to give compensation to the farmers” whereas insurance coverage supplier are being bathed with Rs 8000 crore.
