NHRC Principal Ask For Paris Principles Overhaul Amid Global Conflicts
New Delhi– National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chairperson Justice V Ramasubramanian advocated for a full overhaul of the Paris Principles during a session at the Raisina Discussion on Saturday.
- Paris Principles: Specifications for National Civil rights Institutions established by the UN in 1993
- “Cosmetic Outlook”: Ramasubramanian suggested the Principles only deal with the framework of civils rights establishments.
- International Problems: In the middle of continuous global discontent, he stressed the need for global requirements and partnership to effectively secure civils rights.
