New Delhi– The Ministry of Panchayati Raj marked the first wedding anniversary of ‘Sashakt Panchayat– Netri Abhiyan’ with a national meeting focusing on chosen females representatives from country bodies.
- ‘Nirbhay Raho’ Initiative: Released to reinforce females’s security in panchayats under the Nirbhaya Fund.
- Capacity Structure: Aimed at training 1 45 million ladies representatives on lawful civil liberties and management.
- Sensitization: Targeting 1 75 million male reps on gender equal rights.
- Framework: Includes strategic CCTV camera installments throughout rural areas.
Union Preacher Rajiv Ranjan Singh highlighted the essential duty of ladies in grassroots democracy, noting their 46 % representation in Panchayati Raj organizations. Financial backing for regional bodies has increased considerably, with 4, 35, 236 crore advised for 2026 – 31 by the 16 th Finance Payment.
