WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Federal Trade Commission claimed on Wednesday it was performing versus 5 companies that it claimed made use of skilled system in deceitful and unjust means.
“Using AI tools to trick, mislead, or defraud people is illegal,” claimed FTC Chair Lina M. Khan claimed in a declaration. “The FTC’s enforcement actions make clear that there is no AI exemption from the laws on the books.”
