Philippines says China is pushing it to cede claims in South China Sea

CANBERRA (Reuters) – China is placing ever higher stress on the Philippines to cede its sovereign rights within the South China Sea, Manila’s Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro stated on Tuesday after assembly his Australian counterpart in Canberra.
